10:10 a.m. Roundtable Discussion
Shared Pastorate Ministry Model
This Sunday, January 13, and again on January 27, at 10:10 a.m., we will host discussions in the Fellowship Hall about two alternate forms of ministry:  Senior and associate pastors contrasted with shared ministry.  A senior pastor is our current style where a senior pastor has more visibility and has authority over staff and associate pastors in a team setting.  Shared ministry allows each of the pastors equal say with decisions resulting from collective input.  Both styles will have responsibilities tied to a particular pastor in order that day-to-day decisions can be handled quickly and both styles continue to report to our Church Board.  Benefits can be seen for both styles:  senior ministers who excel at preaching grow spiritual communities and shared ministry allows clergy leaders to engage more lay persons and also develop depth in congregation.  Broadway needs to identify what we value as a congregation and the style that will lead us for the future.  I hope you can join us for these discussions.

Take A Trip to Eagle Days
Saturday, January 26
Eagle Days at Clarksville is January 26. I will be using one of the buses to take Broadway members to participate in the event. We will be leaving the Broadway parking lot at 9:00 a.m.  and returning at 4:00 p.m. That should allow about 3 hours of eagle viewing and activities at Clarksville. Cost is $5 per rider for transportation. This is an outdoor event. Contact Don Harter to RSVP or for questions at 573-445-3258 or by  email.

Join Us for the Columbia Values Diversity Breakfast on January 17 MLK
Many of us attend the Diversity Breakfast every year, and for the 2019 event, Mission & Outreach Ministry has sponsored a table for Broadway members and friends.
The Diversity Breakfast will beheld Thursday, January 17, at 7:00 a.m. at the Columbia Expo Center.  Tickets are $19 and can be reserved by contacting Debby Graham at 445-5312 or by  email.
