Want to hire a student or young person this summer? Canada Summer Jobs is a wage subsidy program that can help your business create summer jobs for youth between the ages of 15 and 30. They do not need to be students.
One of the program's priorities is to assist employers impacted by COVID-19, especially small businesses, in recognition of their contribution to creating jobs. The program will offset 75% of the cost of the employee's salary (based on minimum wage). It will pay 100% of their salary if if the employer is a not-for-profit business.
The application deadline has been extended to February 3, 2021.
