New Student Programs & Family Engagement

Greetings Bronco Family,

Happy Solar Eclipse Day! Our students have returned from Spring Break and hopefully feel refreshed as they work to complete the final five weeks of the semester.

As we approach the summer, it is a good reminder that many of our students and their families will be celebrating milestones. We have students graduating and participating in commencement at Cal Poly Pomona. We look forward to cheering on your graduates as they embark on new adventures and transition into alumnus of CPP. We also have new students graduating from high school or community college, eager to join the Bronco Family. We are excitedly prepping for your welcome to campus this summer and look forward to supporting your transition into the university.

Our office has been on the road quite a bit this last month welcoming new students and their families to Cal Poly Pomona. We have a few remaining opportunities to connect with our Bronco Family members this semester. We hope you are able to join us at one of the events below.

Bronco Bound Open House

Bronco Bound (Spring Open House)

Saturday, April 13th from 9am - 2pm

Join us at BroncoBound, a special day for Fall '24 admitted students to experience Cal Poly Pomona, meet current students, faculty and staff, get all the information they need for success, and see why it's great to be a Bronco!

We invite parents and supporters to join their student and hear more about their major, involvement opportunities, and explore resources.

CPP Night at the Angel Stadium

Come hang out with New Student Programs & Family Engagement, Alumni Association, and fellow Broncos to cheer on the Angels as they take on the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday, April 23rd.

We will have our Orientation Leaders and the rest of the team to cheer on our Broncos, so make sure to stop by!

FAFSA Deadline Extended

The FAFSA Priority Filing Deadline for Cal Poly Pomona and the State of California has been extended to May 2nd, 2024 (for the 2024-2025 year only).

Every student has assigned academic and faculty advisors! Students can see their advisor information in their Bronco Direct student portal.

If a student has a question, they can always Ask Billy. Students at CPP love Billy Chat, our AI texting robot. Learn more about Billy Chat here. You can always say hello by texting 909-326-6145.

CPP has about 300 student clubs and organizations. If your student is looking to build community, connect with peers, and expand their network, direct them to the Office of Student Engagement, Leadership & Success.

CPP offers Student Health (Medical) Services at little or no cost to students. We value the health and safety of our community! You can review the types of services that Student Health offers here.
