Bronco parents, families and supporters,

I hope you're all enjoying summer! The sun is shining in Pomona and we're all getting excited about what's happening this summer and what's to come in the fall. Please take a moment to review the following developments related to the university's continued work toward a safer return to campus.

What's Open This Summer

Starting June 21, all state buildings will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Most offices will offer a hybrid of in-person and virtual services. Visit the Business and Office Hours webpage on Safer Return to see what’s open for in-person and virtual services.
Increasing In-Person Instruction in Fall

With an anticipated full return of our faculty and staff in August, the university can accelerate the amount of in-person instruction planned for the fall semester. Read Provost Alva’s message to faculty about increasing in-person instruction for fall
The BRIC is Open for Students!

The BRIC Pilot Reopening kicked off on June 14, and students were able to work out and swim at the BRIC for the first time since March 2020. All eligible CPP students must make a reservation and comply with mask requirements. For details regarding reservation eligibility, BRIC membership, how to make a reservation, what students need to do before coming to campus, FAQs and more, visit the BRIC Pilot Reopening webpage.
Housing to Require Vaccinations for Residents

Due to the potential risk of COVID-19 transmission in a close, communal living setting, University Housing Services and the University Village will require residents to be fully vaccinated prior to their scheduled move-in date for fall 2021. An email explaining this information was sent to incoming residents earlier this month. Exemptions will be available based on medical conditions or a religious belief, and vaccination verification instructions will be sent to incoming residents via email at a later date. Visit the UHS FAQ webpage and the University Village website for more info.
Bronco Resource Hub
Have Questions, but not sure where to start? Check out our new Resource Hub! You can find information about areas of campus including student involvement, academic advising, University Housing, and can get to know the tools students will be using during their time at Cal Poly Pomona. The Hub is meant to be a one-stop-shop.
Please contact our office at 909-869-3009, or b[email protected] if you have any questions or would like any additional information.

For my safety and the safety of the broader community, I am now working remotely and am not on-campus. However, I can still be reached by email, phone, and/or have the ability to conduct virtual Zoom meetings during my regularly scheduled working hours.
