Greetings Bronco Family,

We are now more than halfway through the spring semester! For many of you, this might mean your student has almost completed their first year at CPP, is one year closer to degree completion, or is racing to the graduation finish line. Please keep reading to learn more about our upcoming CPP Grad Fair, MEP/WiSE Info Session, Bronco Bingo, Cal Poly Pomona Night @ Angel Stadium, and New Grad Membership Special.

CPP Grad Fair

CPP Grad Fair @ Bronco Bookstore 3/15/23 through 3/16/23

It's grad season! If you know anyone graduating, the best time to buy is in person at the annual Grad Fair held in Building 66 in the Atrium and Bookstore on March 15 - 16 or online.

Various campus staff will provide important information regarding commencement to families and students. In addition, Jostens will be there to help with measurements and any custom items you may need, such as graduation announcements, custom order frames, class rings, and more!

*Shop early to ensure you get everything you need. Items will be available through commencement, but to ensure we have your correct sizes and degree colors, do not delay!

MEP/WiSE Info Session

Join us for the Fall 2023 MEP-WiSE Information Session. We'll be live on Zoom, March 21st at 4:30 pm PST.

MEP (Maximizing Engineering Potential) focuses on supporting first-generation, historically under-represented minority, women, and low-income students majoring in engineering.

Meanwhile, WiSE (Women in Science & Engineering) focuses on supporting non-binary and female-identified students majoring in engineering and science.

Newly admitted Fall 2023 students who are interested in being part of a cohort-based learning community are eligible to apply to both programs and will receive an email from Admissions in early March. Students and families who attend the info session will learn more about the learning community and support of both programs.

It’s spring and time to explore campus! Encourage your student to play Bronco Bingo to be entered in an opportunity drawing to win prizes!

How to Play:

Explore the campus! Take a photo of each activity. Post on your public Instagram or Twitter account with #BroncoBingo

Complete a bingo line or cover the entire board by March 10th and enter a drawing to win Bronco swag.

Cal Poly Pomona Night @ Angel Stadium

This April 26, join fellow Broncos and cheer on the Angels as they take on the Oakland Athletics. All tickets purchased through Cal Poly Pomona will receive this year’s exclusive CPP/Angels hat.

2023 New Grad Membership Special

For a limited time, we are offering a membership special for 2023 graduates.

The New Grad Special is $30 and includes a one-year membership, plus grad box filled with a padfolio, lanyard, lunch bag, and license plate frame.

Important Dates and Deadlines

March 2: Priority Filing period for 2022-23 FAFSA and CA Dream Act applications ends. Although the priority deadline for these applications were on March 2, if your student has not yet applied, please have them contact financial aid and submit an application as soon as possible. If your student wants to be considered for financial aid (grants, scholarships, work study and loans) at CPP in 2023-24, they’ll need to fill out one of the financial aid applications. They can fill out the FAFSA HERE or the CA Dream Act HERE.

March 15: CPP Grad Fair. It's grad season! The annual Grad Fair will be held in Building 66 in the Atrium and Bookstore on March 15 - 16 or HERE.

March 17th: Spring Graduation Deadline. Students who plan to graduate in Spring of 2023 must apply for graduation by this deadline.

March 21: MEP-WiSE Info Session. Attend this info session to learn more about the learning community and support provide by MEP and WiSE. RSVP HERE!

March 23: First Day to Register for Commencement. Graduates can RSVP to walk at their ceremony and claim up to 8 tickets for their guests. Graduates will receive an email sometime this month with RSVP information. Commencement ceremonies will be held between Monday, May 22 to Wednesday, May 24

March 25th-31st: Spring Break.

April 26: Cal Poly Pomona Night @ Angel Stadium. Join fellow Broncos and cheer on the Angels as they take on the Oakland Athletics at the Angel Stadium. Use this link with the special code “BRONCOS” to purchase your tickets!
