A Message from Dr. Hilton

Dear Bradfield Families,

I hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend!  Even as a native Texan, I am always amazed by how quickly our weather can change from one day to the next.  We will see what Old Man Winter has in store for us over the next several weeks.

Broncoland was humming with activity this last week.  On Friday, I was blown away by all of our 2nd-grade entrepreneurs at their Economics Fair. The students thought of a good or service, developed and executed a plan, and sold the goods at market.  Even Sgt. Connel stopped by and went shopping. The level of creativity and attention to detail in every shop was truly amazing!  Way to go, Broncos!

In Garden Club, our 1st and 4th graders learned about the different planting seasons and the general care of a garden.

Earlier in the week, Officer Holley was recognized on Law Enforcement Appreciation Day by PTA, staff, and students for his service and dedication to Bradfield.  Thank you, Officer Holley, for keeping us safe!

Finally, a special thank you to our 3rd-grade moms, Anna Jackson, Lauren Calano, Laci Bowman, and Jessica Dale for hosting the amazing staff luncheon catered by the Original ChopShop.  The decor and flowers were beautiful, and the lunch was delicious!  Thank you, for your kind generosity and for showing your appreciation for our staff.

I hope you all are having a wonderful, cozy, and warm three-day weekend, and I will see you on the front steps inside the foyer on Tuesday.

Kindly,

Dr. Aimee Hilton

A Message from our PTA President, Rachel Reed

Thank you, Bradfield, for reading these eBulletins each week!  They are PTA’s best tool to share information across Broncoland.

Not a single one of these bulletins would exist without the immeasurable efforts of PTA’s VP of Communications, Katie Patterson.  I am personally beyond grateful for Katie’s diligence, patience (especially with me), leadership, and permanent positive attitude.

However, Bradfield Communications take an entire team! Thank you to Stephanie Marynick, Communications-Elect, who provides much needed support on our weekly eBulletin, is responsible for keeping our fourth grade families informed through our monthly Fourth Grade Newsletter, and handles our one-off eBlasts.  Our amazing Room Mom Coordinators, Jennifer Morton and Sara Shuart, ensure parents always receive the class, grade, and school information they need through our network of Room Moms.  Thank you to Courtney McCauley, our Publicity Chair, who makes sure our Broncos get spotlighted as much as possible in HPISD communications.  Finally, thank you to PTA’s long-standing Social Media Chair, Maggie Apple.  Not only does Maggie create the best content for PTA’s Instagram, she also provides invaluable advice to all PTA chairs.

Thank you, Katie, Stephanie, Jennifer, Sara, Courtney and Maggie!   PTA would be silent, and pretty much useless, without you.

With gratitude,

Rachel
