A Message from Dr. Hilton

Dear Bradfield Families,

I hope you are enjoying the long weekend with your family and friends.  With it being the Red River Showdown weekend, one of our sweet Bradfield families decorated the front of the school in UT colors on Friday as they earned the braggin’ rights at our auction last spring.  Even though I am an Aggie, I have to say the students loved coming to school and seeing all of the decorations. It was a great way to jump-start the upcoming long weekend.

On Tuesday, many of you have already signed up for parent/teacher conferences. One of our campus goals is to ensure we keep parents informed of the events happening at school as well as your child’s academic progress. If you are unable to make it to your teacher/parent conference, please reach out to your child’s teacher to reschedule.

I am excited we are able to continue our beloved Kindergarten tradition in the upcoming Halloween Parade on October 31st. For more years than one can remember, our Kindergartners have dressed up in their Halloween costumes and paraded through the building. First through Fourth Graders play an important role as they will proudly line the hallways with their teachers and cheer for the Kindergartners during the procession. We ask that our 1st-4th graders honor our Kindergartners’ right of passage and refrain from wearing costumes to school on October 31st. Parents are welcome to attend the Halloween parade which will begin at 8:10AM. We ask that parents form their parade line on the Sport Court to see their precious little goblins strut their stuff!

Finally, I encourage you to stay informed about Bond 2024. To learn more and access a Bond handout, frequently asked questions, and additional details, visit bond2024.hpisd.org. Early voting is from Oct. 21 to Nov. 1, and Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Please enjoy some of these fun pictures from Broncoland this week, and I will see you all on the front steps on Wednesday.

A Message from our PTA President, Rachel Reed

I hope everyone is enjoying this much anticipated long weekend, finding time to relax and recharge. We look forward to seeing everyone back on Wednesday!

Bradfield PTA extends an enormous thanks to Taylor and Richmond Collinsworth and Stacy and Mack Hicks for opening their beautiful homes to host the 1st and 2nd grade parent parties this week. We hope the parents in attendance had a wonderful time catching up with friends and celebrating our wonderful Bradfield community.

Bradfield families’ generosity continued again this week. Thank you to everyone who donated to our annual costume drive, benefiting Rainbow Days. Did you know that our incredible Community Outreach Chairs, Sarah Conway and Lora Grabowsky, not only coordinated this event but also our incredibly fun Walk-to-School Day last week? Thank you, Sarah and Lora, for your efforts to strengthen Bradfield’s ties within our community and beyond!

Gratefully,

Rachel
