A Message from Dr. Hilton

Dear Bradfield Families,

Walk to School Day was amazing! It was so great to see everyone walking to school, socializing with each other, and enjoying a cup of coffee. Blaze welcomed families and students along with our “live” stop lights and traffic cones. Lt. Lance Koppa and HPPD officers attended the event and passed out trick-or-treat bags to students. The YMCA volunteers had some cool dance moves as they gave students bouncy balls. Thank you, PTA, for organizing this event. It was a great way to kick off the day.

I also want to thank our incredible 1st grade moms for treating the staff to a delicious luncheon from Central Market on Wednesday. A special thanks to Claudia Conard, Robin Hufsey, and Emily Haddock for taking the time out of your day to create such a special luncheon for everyone. We all felt loved and appreciated.

Finally, I encourage you to stay informed about Bond 2024. To learn more and access a Bond handout, frequently asked questions, and additional details, visit bond2024.hpisd.org. Early voting is from Oct. 21 to Nov. 1, and Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5.

A Message from our PTA President, Rachel Reed

Bradfield Families, your overwhelming generosity through your donations to PTA continues to impact the lives of our students and staff everyday. PTA is so grateful for your support. Thank you to PTA’s VPs of Development, Abby Evans and Kelly Sporich, for overseeing all aspects of Bradfield’s fundraising efforts, including our wonderfully successful Family Giving Campaign, which wrapped up last week.

This week marked the much-anticipated opening of Bradfield Supply Shop. Thank you to Monica Gibbs and Jane Anne Meggs, our Supply Shop Volunteer Coordinators, for helping the shop get staffed and ready to open its window each Tuesday and Friday. Thank you to Supply Shop Merchandise Chairs, Mallory Broaddus and Jessica Dale, who keep the shop stocked with our Broncos’ favorite goodies.

We hope the families of the Class of 2033 enjoyed every moment of one of Bradfield’s favorite 4th grade traditions last weekend, the 4th Grade Family Picnic. Thank you to our 4th Grade Program Chairs, Kristy Ferguson, Katie Head, Laura McCallan, Katherine Ratliff, and Jen Sowders, for putting on such an amazingly fun event.

Please mark your calendar for our Fall PTA General Meeting on Tuesday at 8:15AM. All Bradfield parents are encouraged to attend. I look forward to seeing everyone there!

Rainbow Days' mission is to help children and youth facing adversity build coping skills and resilience to create positive futures serving over 4,300 children annually. They break cycles of abuse, dysfunction, homelessness and poverty by creating supportive communities through support groups, camps, training and positive mentorship.
