A Message from Dr. Hilton

Dear Bradfield Families,

Thank you for your flexibility and patience through the network outage this week.  The teachers and staff have done an amazing job pivoting and ensuring students received a quality education. As the district works to restore the network, please know that we will continue to engage students in learning.

This week we also kicked off Inclusive Schools Week as students participated in classroom discussions, activities, and events focused on inclusion, acceptance, and empathy for others. The theme of “Cool to Be Kind” was a great springboard for teachers and students to discuss how individuals can be kind, respectful, and inclusive.

Thank you to the Armstrong Bradfield Preschool Association (ABPA) for continuing to support Armstrong and Bradfield Elementary schools. The 25th annual ABPA Homes for the Holidays Home Tour was a well attended event and has become a tradition for many of our families during the holiday season. Over the past 20 plus years, ABPA has raised more than one million dollars for the Kindergarten and First grade programs at Armstrong and Bradfield. Thanks to families who opened their exquisite homes, I have no doubt this year’s gift will be as generous as years past.

A special thank you to the following families who showcased their beautiful homes during the tour; Bradfield families, Jon and Lori Altschuler and Brigham and Caitlin Wilson, as well as Luke and Christy Doramus and Jack and Kate LaGere.

Also a warm thank you to the ABPA Home Tour Committee, Krystle Womack, Landen Tillery, Cindy Revol, Katharine Rutherford, Laura Price, Sara Thieke, Lizzy Brauer, Lara Francis, Meredith Connally, and Kelli Little for the hard work and dedication to make this year a huge success!

Finally, I hope everyone is having a great weekend, and I will see you on the front steps on Monday.

Kindly,

Dr. Aimee Hilton

A Message from our PTA President, Rachel Reed

PTA extends a great thanks to all who came to celebrate Jeanne Peoples at her retirement party on Wednesday. We want to say a special thanks to Susan, Debra, Joyce, Jaime and Hector, who wouldn’t let even Susan’s broken arm impact their efforts to put on this special event. PTA also thanks Kamela Aboussie, Rebecca Bell, and Laura McCallan, who helped make sure the party and LGI were as festive as can be for our beloved Jeanne.

As we near the half-way point in the school year, I want to pause to recognize our incredible Cafeteria Volunteer team as we are also reaching the midpoint of our cafeteria volunteer shifts. I cannot overstate my appreciation for Mari Foteh and Steve Noviello, our Cafeteria Volunteer Coordinators, and the Day Captains, Kelly Diehl, Frances Dotson, Katie Honea, Young-Sun Roth, and Shannon Warren. This team works tirelessly, and steps in, to ensure we have enough folks ready to feed our hungry Broncos and staff. Every. Single. Day.

Thank you also to our amazing army of cafeteria volunteers. Your dedication and willingness to serve Bradfield is truly heartening. I look forward to y’all keeping up your great energy and motivation even as we enter peak cold and flu season!

With Gratitude,

Rachel
