A Message from Dr. Hilton

Valentine’s Day is always a sweet and fun time for elementary students. It was precious to see all of the students so excited to pass out their Valentines to their teachers and classmates. What a fun day!

As you know, Monday is a school holiday for students. However, our teachers and staff will be learning from experts in their field as well as from each other at our Winter Learning Conference. It will be a great day of learning new strategies to implement into classroom instruction.

Get ready for the Bradfield Auction! It is just a few days away! Please check out the information below and look for reminders this week about the Live Auction. As you know, the funds generated from this event support many events, materials, and learning experiences for our Bradfield Broncos. This would not be possible without your generous support. I look forward to seeing everyone Saturday night at the Black and White Ball!

I also want to thank our amazing 4th grade moms for treating the staff to a delicious luncheon from Chocolate Angel on Wednesday. A special thanks to Sara Shuart, Stephanie Ernst, Leigh Danley, Katie Samler, Karen Cohen, Lena Alley, Laci Bowman, Beth Babb, and Amanda Bailey for taking the time out of your day to create such a special luncheon for everyone. We all felt loved and appreciated.

Finally, this is a friendly reminder that the School Experience Survey launched on Monday, February 3. The primary contact for each student should have received an email from Dr. Mike Rockwood with a link to participate. If you don’t see it in your inbox, please check your spam folder.

The deadline to complete the survey is Friday, February 21. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us recognize our strengths and identify areas for improvement. Thank you for your participation!

Spread the word! New student & kindergarten online enrollment for the 2025-26 school year began Monday, February 3.

All new students must complete the 4-step enrollment process.

Parents of incoming kindergarten students are invited to Kindergarten Round-Up at Bradfield on Tuesday, Feburary 18 at 9AM.

A Message from our PTA President, Rachel Reed

Auction week has finally arrived, Bradfield! Get ready to bid! All in the name of supporting our incredible school!

Our amazing Auction Chairs, Erika Burton, Mary Frances Kearney, and Madison Strode, and their committees have been working for months to secure the most fantastic items for us to bid on. Check out the previews below! Be sure to set your alarms for online bidding going live at 7:00AM Tuesday and closing next Sunday night!

The Black & White Ball live auction party will certainly be the highlight of auction week. PTA cannot wait for you to see the fabulous party the Auction Chairs planned for us. PTA also owes a huge thanks to Missy Peck and Medley Turner, who graciously donated their time and events-planning expertise to help make this the party of the century.

But, the purpose of auction extends well beyond the incredible items and party. Due to public school funding formulas in the State of Texas, HPISD last year sent more than $100 million of local tax revenue (about 58% of the total) back to the state in the form of recapture. Through its fundraising, PTA plays a vital role in supporting academic instruction, teaching assistants, staff compensation, technology, and much more. Auction remains PTA’s largest fundraiser of the year. What we accomplish together this week can impact our school for years to come!
