A Message from Dr. Hilton

Dear Bronco Families,

It is hard to believe we are only 9 weeks away from the end of the school year!  We are already in the process of looking ahead to 2025-2026 and making plans for another exciting year for our students.  With each new grade level, parents naturally begin to wonder about class assignments.  Therefore, I feel it is important to share with you the process, timeline, and details that will take place to organize class lists for next year.  Developing class lists is a very detailed process as each student’s needs are analyzed and considered before determining the most suitable learning environment. Each child is different; therefore, it is imperative for us to balance class assignments for teachers to meet the needs of each student effectively.  To balance groups of students for instructional success, our teachers use the following criteria:

  • Balance of students in academic programs
  • Instructional environment
  • Learning styles and/or needs
  • Equal division of boys and girls
  • Social needs
  • Intervention/enrichment needs

As you can see, many details are considered to create balanced classes and provide an optimum learning environment for each student.  This process requires a great deal of collaboration and planning among team members, including support staff.  If your child has a unique need and you feel they would benefit from a particular type of learning environment of which the current teacher is not aware, please complete and submit the Google Form below no later than 5:00 pm on Monday, April 7th.

Parent Input Form for 2025-2026 School Year

My hope is you will put your trust in this process and know your child’s teacher cares for your child, knows his/her needs, and will group them according to what will foster success and happiness next school year.  I assure you we will be diligent in our efforts to provide an effective, nurturing learning environment that will facilitate academic success.  As always, thank you for sharing your child with us!

Before I wrap up, the Bradfield Family Picnic is right around the corner. We look forward to seeing everyone on the field this Friday during your child’s regular lunchtime. Please check out the information below for more details.

I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend, and I will see you and your children on the front steps tomorrow morning.

Kindly,

Dr. Aimee Hilton

HPISD is looking for the "unsung heroes" who are going the "extra mile" in serving our students, staff, families and community. In the spring, the District "Heart At Work" award committee will review all those recognized on each campus and choose one professional and one paraprofessional from each campus and the District office to be honored and awarded $500 at the annual staff recognition banquet.

"Heart At Work" nominations can be submitted by teachers, administrators, staff, students, parents, families, and anyone interested in the well-being of our HPISD community. Candidates can not be nominated by relatives.

All nominations must be submitted on the "Heart At Work" award  nomination form and sent electronically from now through March 31, 2025. Nominees submitted after March 31, will be considered in the proceeding award cycle of winners.

A Message from our PTA President, Rachel Reed

As we celebrate the arrival of Spring, this week I want to thank a few PTA volunteers who have contributed their time throughout the year to keeping our grounds as nice as can be.

Thank you to Colly Beecherl, our Garden Liaison.  Colly has worked with Farmer Kim and her crew and Mrs. Gleaton throughout the year to ensure our Broncos get the most out of their monthly lessons in our Learning Garden.  Thank you, Colly, for helping our garden grow and our Broncos along with it!

Thank you to our Playground Chairs, Carolyn Cross and Catherine Evans.  Not only have they taken on the impossible task of keeping our playground adequately stocked with recess balls, but they are always on the lookout for equipment in need of repair and other playground items needing attention.

Finally, thank you to Diana Swope, our Lost & Found Chair.  As many of us have witnessed, Bradfield’s Lost & Found knows no end.  Thank you, Diana, for your valiant efforts to tame that beast, keep it organized, and coordinate the periodic donations.  We would be a mess without you!

With Gratitude,

Rachel
