A Message from Dr. Hilton
Dear Bradfield Families,
I was looking forward to Bradfield’s Family Picnic, but sadly, Mother Nature had other plans. Even though the event was rained out, our Broncos still enjoyed their Chick-Fil-A lunch with their friends. Thank you to our PTA Family Picnic Chairs, Lindsay Grider and Tracy Walder for all of your work leading up to the event.
| | Earlier in the week, several of our Broncos proudly recited the mission and vision statements before leading the Board of Trustees in the Pledge of Allegiance and the Texas Pledge at their monthly meeting. Way to go, Broncos!! | | In Garden Club this week, students weeded the garden and learned about living/non living things and biodiversity. | Finally, our 4th graders dissected owl pellets in Science Lab. They learned about owl diets and the animals they prey on by identifying the bones found in the pellets. The students proudly displayed the bone remains in cool shadow boxes. | | |
I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend, and I will see you and your children on the front steps tomorrow morning.
Kindly,
Dr. Aimee Hilton

HPISD is looking for the "unsung heroes" who are going the "extra mile" in serving our students, staff, families and community. In the spring, the District "Heart At Work" award committee will review all those recognized on each campus and choose one professional and one paraprofessional from each campus and the District office to be honored and awarded $500 at the annual staff recognition banquet.
"Heart At Work" nominations can be submitted by teachers, administrators, staff, students, parents, families, and anyone interested in the well-being of our HPISD community. Candidates can not be nominated by relatives.
All nominations must be submitted on the "Heart At Work" award nomination form and sent electronically from now through March 31, 2025. Nominees submitted after March 31, will be considered in the proceeding award cycle of winners.

A Message from our PTA President, Rachel Reed
Thank you, Bradfield, for your patience and flexibility as we tried to anticipate whether Mother Nature would rain on our Family Picnic plans. But, luck was not on our side. Family Picnic is always such a fun event. We hate that it had to be cancelled.
PTA is extremely grateful for the team of Lindsay Grider and Tracy Walder who had a fantastic Family Picnic planned for us on Bradfield’s field, but were ready to pivot to meet any weather situation. Thank you to the many volunteers who were ready to pitch in and make the event incredible. And, thank you also to Susan Graeber and the entire Bradfield staff who consistently work to make these events as fun as possible for our Broncos.
PTA also wishes to congratulate Bradfield dads, Grant Carona and Eugene Vainshel, on their victory in the 2nd Annual Park Cities Dads Club Pickleball Tournament. Their win out of a field of more than 50 teams from all HPISD schools was no easy feat. Thank you, Grant and Eugene, for bringing the bragging rights back to Bradfield!
With gratitude,
Rachel
