A few reminders:
Carpool:
Help carpool go a little faster by helping your child memorize their carpool number. It’s a small task that will save everyone time at dismissal.
Birthday/Classroom Treats and Celebrations:
As a gentle reminder, we celebrate every child’s birthday with special recognition on the morning announcements and in the classroom. Because of food allergies and nutritional guidelines, parents are asked not to bring/send edible birthday treats to distribute to other students in the class, either in the classroom or in the cafeteria. Contact your child’s teacher for more information and guidelines. Please refrain from sending balloons, stuffed animals, flowers, etc. For individual birthday parties, invitations are not to be distributed at school.
Pets on Campus Property:
We love our pets, but please refrain from bringing pets on campus during arrival and dismissal times, as well as campus-wide events that draw large crowds of people such as the carnival, field day, and family picnics. In addition, pets should never be in the playground area or on the playing fields, for the safety of students and staff, and for the safety of the animals.
MAPS Assessments:
Students will be doing MAPS testing over the next several weeks. The Fall MAPS assessments serve to provide teachers with baselines for each of their student’s current levels of knowledge. As parents, you do not need to prepare your students ahead of the assessments.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. It has been a pleasure meeting your children, and I look forward to a fantastic school year ahead.
Kindly,
Dr. Aimee Hilton
