A Message from Dr. Hilton

Dear Bronco Families,

I hope this message finds you well. As we wrap up our first full week of school, I wanted to take a moment to share some reflections and updates with you.

I am delighted to report that the start of the school year has been smooth and exciting. Our students have settled in remarkably well, and it has been wonderful to see them engaging with their new routines, peers, and subjects.

Thank you, PTA, for the wonderful coffee from Hot Shots Coffee Company this morning.  It was a delicious Friday treat for the faculty and staff.

A few reminders:

Carpool:

Help carpool go a little faster by helping your child memorize their carpool number. It’s a small task that will save everyone time at dismissal.

Birthday/Classroom Treats and Celebrations:

As a gentle reminder, we celebrate every child’s birthday with special recognition on the morning announcements and in the classroom. Because of food allergies and nutritional guidelines, parents are asked not to bring/send edible birthday treats to distribute to other students in the class, either in the classroom or in the cafeteria. Contact your child’s teacher for more information and guidelines. Please refrain from sending balloons, stuffed animals, flowers, etc. For individual birthday parties, invitations are not to be distributed at school.

Pets on Campus Property:

We love our pets, but please refrain from bringing pets on campus during arrival and dismissal times, as well as campus-wide events that draw large crowds of people such as the carnival, field day, and family picnics. In addition, pets should never be in the playground area or on the playing fields, for the safety of students and staff, and for the safety of the animals.

MAPS Assessments:

Students will be doing MAPS testing over the next several weeks. The Fall MAPS assessments serve to provide teachers with baselines for each of their student’s current levels of knowledge. As parents, you do not need to prepare your students ahead of the assessments.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. It has been a pleasure meeting your children, and I look forward to a fantastic school year ahead.

Kindly,

Dr. Aimee Hilton

A Message from our PTA President, Rachel Reed

Congratulations, Bronco Parents!  We made it through our first full week of school.  Thank you, everyone, for your diligence in following Bradfield’s guidelines and practices.  Whether for carpool, cafeteria, arrival or dismissal, we are grateful for your participation in ensuring everything runs smoothly!

Thank you to all the parents (and grandparents) who attended our Cafeteria Volunteer Orientation this week.  Thank you to PTA’s Cafeteria Volunteer Coordinators, Mari Foteh and Steve Noviello, not only for coordinating this week’s successful orientation, but more importantly for their success in filling EVERY single cafeteria shift for the entire school year.  We are also tremendously grateful for how diligently they manage cafeteria communications and our many, many sub requests.

Thank you to Katy Brooks, Loren Heller and Dianne Johnson, our Donor Relations Chairs.  Between running a very busy drive-thru in sweltering heat and making countless personal deliveries, they have worked tirelessly to get swag to our generous donors and fill our neighborhood’s front yards with signs of Bradfield spirit.

I look forward to seeing everyone at Curriculum Night on Tuesday.

With gratitude,

Rachel
