A Message from Dr. Hilton

Dear Bronco Families,

On Wednesday, September 11th, Bradfield proudly participated in Patriot Day and National Remembrance and Service Day. The Bradfield Scouts led the school community in the pledge of allegiance as we honored our First Responders of HPISD and HPPD. Thank you to those who joined us on this memorable day. Bradfield will never forget.

Then on Thursday morning, Bradfield Dads Club kicked off their annual BDC Breakfast. It spoke volumes when the cafeteria was full of Dads by 7 AM to enjoy fellowship with one another. Thank you to BDC’s President, Todd Fidler, and his Exec Board for leading the way. We would also like to thank Ms. Susan, Ms. Joyce, Ms. Debra, and Jaime for getting to school extra early to make such a delicious breakfast. I look forward to seeing all of the wonderful things our BDC does this year to support our Broncos!

Finally, I hope you enjoy these fun pictures from Broncoland, and I will see you on the front steps Monday morning. Have a great weekend!

Preschool

Ms. George’s class explored color combinations.  Red + Blue = Purple   The students also practiced forming numbers out of Play-Doh.

2nd Grade

Ms. Fischer’s class taught Mrs. Knight’s class how to change the properties of matter as they molded foil into people sculptures.

Kindly,

Dr. Aimee Hilton

A Message from our PTA President, Rachel Reed

Thank you to those who were able to join us on Wednesday for our annual Patriot Day flag ceremony.  It is a unique event for our Broncos and our community, as it gives us an opportunity to recognize those individuals who work so hard to keep us safe and secure, especially our own School Resource Officer, Joel Holley.  Thank you to all the staff members who made the ceremony happen, notably our wonderful music teacher, Jonathan Foley.  PTA also extends a huge thanks to the scout troops for leading our ceremony.  Finally, thank you to each Girl Scout and Boy Scout troop leader for ensuring your scouts were ready for the day.

I also want to take a moment to recognize and thank our incredible Spirit Wear chairs, Courtney Dowling, Courtney McCauley and Caitlin Merritt.  Their Spirit Wear activities kicked off more than six months ago.  Not only did they design the adorable gear for our Broncos, but also sourced vendors, negotiated pricing, and personally distributed the hundreds of orders from our summer pre-sale.  Thank you, ladies!  Parents, if you ordered items during August, be on the lookout for information about delivery in October.

I hope everyone has their stacks of books ready to go as Bradfield heads off to Camp Read-a-Lot this week.  Our Reading Rodeo event chairs have much in store for an exciting week of reading and raising money for Bradfield.

CAMP wait for another great week with you at Bradfield!

Gratefully,

Rachel
