The healing power of kindness is present in every gift.
It is our privilege to pass it on.

Bronson Children's Hospital Playroom Opens After Remodel!
After much anticipation, Bronson Children's Hospital Playroom has reopened after undergoing renovations. The playroom was remodeled to make better use of the space which now includes more natural light and a Michigan camping theme. “Camp Bronson” includes a camper or “Campulance” for kids to play in, a campfire scene with toadstools, a tent, and several real trees that have been preserved to make the setting come to life under a canopy of painted leaves.

“There is something special that happens when you take a patient out of their hospital room and bring them into a child-friendly environment like our new playroom,” says Wendy Kellogg, child life specialist. “It’s truly an immersive experience. When children and families enter the room we often hear ‘Wow! Check this place out!’ Then the real magic happens and they get to be a child.”

A special thanks to the following donors who made this possible:
Carlson Farms & Friends
CSM Group
Grace and John T. Harrington Foundation
Lynn L. Lonze
Omni Community Credit Union
Sharp Smile Center
Suzanne Upjohn DeLano Parish Foundation

Holysz Family Gives Back
On October 15, 2019, Katie and Dave Holysz experienced the heartbreaking loss of their infant at 22 weeks gestation. Since their son Jack’s passing, they have wanted to do something for other families that experience loss. Working with Bronson Health Foundation, Katie and Dave are proud to donate the Caring Cradle “Mini” to Bronson Methodist Hospital’s Labor & Delivery unit. This cradle allows families to spend more time with their babies.

The Holyszes also donated 12 stuffed bears to the unit. “We also didn’t want any mother to leave the hospital with empty arms” Katie shared. “We are donating stuffed bears in hopes that when their arms ache to hold their baby they can squeeze their angel’s bear instead. Our hope is to provide bears for years to come.”
