Take Action To Support Our Hospitality Businesses
If you operate a restaurant, nightlife establishment, or other business in New York, contact your State Senator NOW and tell them you strongly OPPOSE Wage Lien Bill S2762, which would allow employees to file liens against the personal assets of business owners, their investors, and even frontline managers, solely upon the allegation of a wage dispute, NOT a judicial ruling of wrongdoing or a judgement.

Grant Opportunities
LAST CALL: The Small Business Growth Fund is now accepting applications until May 20, 2022, at 6 p.m. ET., providing the capital entrepreneurs need to make their next big move. Each recipient will receive a $5,000 grant to accelerate their growth.

Eligible businesses must:
  • Be a for-profit business
  • Have less than $1M in 2021 gross annual revenue
  • Have a commitment to their customers and community
  • Have a clear plan for use of funds

Barstool Sports has created the Barstool Fund in support of the 30 Day Fund to help small businesses survive with grants up to $100,000. To be considered, the fund is looking for businesses with a proven track record of success and owners who kept most of their employees on during the pandemic. Applications will be accepted throughout the year.

SYEP adds value for employers by connecting them with local NYC talent at no cost; easing the workload of current employees; and providing an opportunity to participate in NYC’s economic recovery. Bronx Chamber member New Settlement is partnering with the Price Family Foundation to launch an internship program for college students during Summer 2022, providing up to 25 college students with meaningful work experiences to help them transition successfully into the world of work. Interns can work up to 35 hours/week over the course of 6 weeks (July 11th - August 19th) and will be paid $4,000 for the summer by New Settlement. Victor Goines has been a member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (saxophone & clarinet) since 1993 and currently serves as the Director of Jazz Studies at Northwestern University. The concert will be performed on the Fairview Lawn of The Woodlawn Cemetery and there is no fee for admission. Participants must pre-register to attend at www.woodlawntours.org
