"I am incredibly excited  about the character education work happening at Brooke Mattapan this year. We are focused on making sure every single classroom is a place where students have strong relationship s with their teachers and with their peers in order to grow academically and socially. I am also very excited about the new teachers who have joined our staff. They bring a wide range of incredible teaching experience to Brooke, and I am looking forward to learning from and with them."

M s. Yasenia Dudley
Dean of Students, Brooke East Boston

"This year I am looking forward to launching Saturday Academy with our School Psychologist, Ms. Maria Cannavo. Saturday Academy will be used as an alternative to suspension for some of our students who need more support. Students will be doing a lot of group work as well as community service projects. As a Dean, my focus this year is looking for better ways to support our students so that they have a voice to express themselves and helping our teachers feel confident in the creation of a strong classroom culture."

Jenni Cabrera

"As a sophomore, I am most looking forward to working with the new teachers like Mr. Martinez, the computer science teacher, and my new advisor Ms. Meissner. I am also looking forward to participating in the community service club and joining the dance team!"
