Remembering David York '88

At Brookfield Academy, we are all deeply saddened by the death of David York. David was a valued member of the BA alumni community, and our condolences go out to all his family and friends.
David attended BA from Level A until high school graduation. During his time at BA, David was a star athlete, which resulted in his induction into the BA Hall of Fame in 2015. He is a member of the basketball 1,000 point club, seen on a banner in Patriots Hall gymnasium, and ultimately reached 1,500 points in his career. David made All-Conference in basketball and football, while earning the MVP awards in tennis and basketball. David was also awarded the BA Male Athlete of the Year award while at BA.

David is survived by his parents Merrill and Mary York, spouse Debbie York, and children Maryanne '20, Katie, Madison, Charlie, and Rachel, as well as sisters Susan York '91 Jeide, and Carolyn York '95 Nowacki.

Alumni Christmas Party Details - Revised Date
|
|
The BA Alumni Christmas Party has changed dates due to a major college hockey tournament occurring at Fiserv Forum. The party will now be held Monday, December 27, from 7-10 pm. The location of the party will still be at Red, White, and Blue located at 1044 N Old World 3rd St, Milwaukee, WI 53203. For those 21 or older, there will be an open bar from 7:00-8:30 pm, with free beer and wine continuing from 8:30-10:00. The party will be a great opportunity to reconnect with your fellow classmates and teachers! Update you calendars accordingly!

BA Alums Earn Forbes 30 Under 30 Honor

Liam '14 and Aidan '15 McCarty
|
|
BA alums Liam '14 and Aidan '15 McCarty were recently named to the Forbes 30 under 30 list for North America under the Consumer Technology category. Liam and Aidan co-founded Unum ID, a company that turns your smartphone into a digital ID card by using cryptography and biometrics to let you prove who you are across the web. Congratulations to the brothers on an incredible accomplishment!

Anneliese "Liese" Wareham Wins NCAA Championship

|
Congratulations to Anneliese "Liese" Wareham '18 and her Northwestern Wildcats teammates for winning the Division 1 NCAA Field Hockey Championship. Liese played 15 minutes in the 2-0 win over Liberty in the Championship!

BA Alum Returns to Share Expertise
|
|
Douglas Peters '15 returned to BA to talk to Upper School students about "engineering mindset" and his time at BA. After his message, Doug worked with the kids, showing his VR/AR headset that he is developing to enable test taking and prevent cheating during virtual school exams.
