US Climb Team
The Upper School Climb Club/Team competed in the first of six Wisconsin High School Climb League (WHSCL) competitions on November 2.

There were 18 area high schools and 240 individuals who participated in the event. WHSCL competitions are separated into four ability divisions (1-4) for each gender. The BA team brought 23 competitors to the event and finished fourth as a team. There were many excellent individual performances highlighted by Divyraj Zala, David Dell'Agnese, Emma Canga, and Izabel Johnson, all earning top five placements in Division 3. The next event is a bouldering competition on December 17.

The BA US Climb Club/Team practices each Monday at Adventure Rock Brookfield. New climbers are always welcome to join, and interested students should talk to any of the 30 or so participants on the team for more information.

Fencing
The Blue Knights had a fantastic season opener at the Deerfield-Highland Park Invitational on Saturday, November 6, at Deerfield High School in Deerfield, Illinois. It was BA's first meet since before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Having lost many fencers to graduation over the last two years, the team had three fencers competing - all of whom won their first direct elimination bouts and finished in the top 32 in their respective events.

Junior Connor Artley finished 30th of 43 in men's sabre, a career-best.

Freshman Harrison Koss, fencing in his first meet, had an excellent start to his fencing career, with a 22nd-place finish out of 51 in men's epee.

Sophomore Madison Kob (women's foil), also fencing in her first meet, was seeded 37th after the pool round, but won her first direct elimination bout against the 28 seed, earning her way into the top 32. She lost her second direct elimination bout to the fencer seeded fourth after pools, ultimately finishing 31st of 42.
