The boys soccer team played two games last week. First up was conference rival and State ranked Lake Country Lutheran. BA scored first from a free kick by Carlos Castro-Lopez, after forward Benny Keppler earned a foul just outside the box. Castro-Lopez struck the ball into the left upper-corner. After giving up two quick goals, BA kept the pressure on and created numerous chances when Keppler found the back of the net on an assist from midfielder Kamron Kaiser. The game ended 2-2.
The second game was against Dominican on homecoming night. In a very tight and competitive battle, the boys fought to a 1-1 draw. In the first half, Castro-Lopez saw the keeper off his line and drilled a 40-yard shot over his head and into the back of the net for a 1-0 lead. Dominican scored in the second half after Jacob Schneck's save deflected off the post and for an easy tap in.
The boys played well in both games and now turn to Senior Night tonight. Kickoff is set for 4:30 pm against Heritage Christian at the BA Fields of Freedom.

Level 8
What a busy week it was for the Level 8 volleyball team! The girls got off to a great start with a win over Heritage Christian on Thursday. Mikayla Hargarten’s consistent serving made a big impact on the match.
Friday, the team played a very competitive match against the teachers for homecoming week. Saturday, the team won a doubleheader of league games against St. Francis Cabrini and Seton North.
Later that day, the girls had four games in the St. Leonard tournament where they
went 1-3.
The team completed the weekend playing two close games against St. Leonard in the tournament and walked away with two wins. This result left a four-way tie in the pool. Unfortunately the tiebreaker did not go our way, so the team did not advance to the playoffs.
Great net play by Aroushi Bhakhri and solid defense from Luya Zhang gave the team a real boost.

The Level 7 volleyball team is on fire! The team won another two matches against Waukesha Catholic and Holy Angels to remain undefeated in conference at 5-0. Great serving by Grace Mila and Sophia Ruddock led the way. Setters Susie Schoyer, Claire Spaeth, and Ella Posnik are really getting good balls to the hitters, so the team is able to attack more.

It’s been incredible to watch the growth that has happened in a very short amount of time.
