2021-22 School Theme: Celebrate Learning Together
|
|
Tomorrow will bring the return of one of our more cherished traditions: The Caps & College Assembly. Bringing together soon-to-graduate seniors who began their education at Brookfield Academy in the Lower School or earlier, with our current Level 1 scholars. It is an opportunity for us to both celebrate the culminating accomplishment of our seniors and find inspiration for the future. For our seniors, returning up the hill for assembly gives them a chance to commemorate the span of their educational journey at Brookfield Academy.
It is also a day of inspiration for our Class of 2033, who will stand next to seniors listening to where the Class of 2022 will be continuing their education in the fall. Each member of the Class of 2033 will receive a class hat from a senior. While it is thrilling for our students to get their very own “Class of” hat, they also are able to physically see what the portrait of a Brookfield Academy graduate can look like. It is our hope they will be inspired by some of our best examples of what you can achieve by taking advantage of all that Brookfield Academy has to offer.

Congratulations Upper School and Middle School Latin Teams:
Four teams from BA made the trip to Harvard Certamen to compete in the first in-person competition in two years. The competition was fierce with schools from around the nation. Both of our Novice teams qualified for the semifinals. Team A with Anna Wilson, Raghav Vijayapal, Neerja Ahuja, and Zoe Johnson placed 4th; and Team B with Mahi Hipara, Augustus Jurgens, Peter Hutt, and Ammar Pasha placed 6th out of 12 teams. The intermediate team of Sanjit Madireddi, Anika Taneja, and Rohan Singh, made it through to the finals and took 2nd place out of 10 teams. The advanced team was pitted against the two top teams in its first rounds. Charles Hieb, Alexander Li, Riya Singh, and Krish Sharma were barely knocked out of the semifinals and placed 10th out of 22 teams. Special thanks to coach Dr. Ron Roessler whose experience and dedication are invaluable to the Brookfield Academy Certamen program.
