2021-22 School Theme: Celebrate Learning Together
|
|
Welcome to the start of the 2021-2022 school year!
I was so excited to see our Primary School students on Tuesday as we once again gathered around the flagpole at Constitution Hall to open the school year by saying the Pledge of Allegiance. Our theme this year is to Celebrate Learning Together and while it is important for our students to learn, I admit I also am learning and adjusting to a new role. I am privileged to be the Head of Brookfield Academy and will ask for your support as we all continue to learn and grow together. Each school year is unique, and we will use our Five Stars as our guiding principles moving forward.
As an educator and administrator for several years at Brookfield Academy, I am excited about the team of faculty and staff we have assembled. They will assist you and work with your children on a daily basis. They are passionate in what they do. The journey begins this week, and our dedicated staff is ready and willing to help you celebrate our accomplishments while also providing direction through any challenges we may encounter along the way.
Doug Ricci, Head of School

COVID-19 UPDATES
-
Parents, please help us by monitoring students for COVID-19 symptoms and keeping students home if they show any signs of illness.
-
Reminder: Please contact your Division's Administrative Assistant if anyone in your family has had 'direct contact' with someone testing positive for COVID-19. A direct contact is defined as being within six feet of someone without a mask for fifteen minutes or more. When making determinations about these situations, we will consider this definition; however, under certain circumstances, we may find it in the best interest of our students to expand upon this definition of 'direct contact.' It is our intention to always do what is most necessary to keep our students, staff, and faculty safe.
-
Ongoing Updates: In addition to weekly newsletter updates, wellness protocols and other information are available in the MyBA parent portal under the COVID-19 School Updates.
