We are grateful to the community living with mobility disabilities for continuing to bring their thoughtful and valid concerns to our attention. As a small, local business, creating the level of accessibility we all desire has been complicated to solve, with our most recent solution derailed by COVID. Through our daily community work and expansion, we support and represent even more voices than ever before. But there is still work to be done, and with our business now stable and the holiday season behind us, we are committed to doing it.

So that we may more fully realize our mission statement and be a place accessible to every individual in our community, starting this Tuesday, we are moving all upcoming events to our main street level to create access for all. To our street level, we are also adding a bookcase with our premier used books across categories, and booksellers, as always, are happy to retrieve used books from our lower level. Thank you for your patience as we make these changes.

For years, we have been grappling with a long-term, sustainable solution within our means that creates disability access to our lower level to offer the best experience for our events to all and full access to browse/sell used books. We are actively looking for a feasible solution, which will continue to be our primary focus in 2023. We will engage the community and provide updates as the work progresses.

Thank you,
