Supportive housing is permanent, affordable housing with on-site support services to serve the needs of the most vulnerable New Yorkers, including the formerly homeless and disabled. Sixty percent of units in supportive housing are set aside for low-income or formerly homeless individuals or families with special needs, who are referred by city agencies.

The remaining 40% of units in the building are made available to the public through a lottery. The units listed in this notice are only those made available to the general public. More information: https://nyhousingsearch.gov/

Brooklyn 'Safest Ever' as Borough Sees Record-Low Shootings

Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez is committed to reducing gun violence -- and he has the stats to prove it. This month, DA Gonzalez was proud to announce that Brooklyn has reached record low levels of gun violence. According to NYPD data, shooting incidents decreased by 15% from 2023 and shooting victims dropped by 13%. Both categories were lower than the pre-pandemic records set in 2019. These historic milestones were accompanied by a 6% decrease in homicides and a 5.9% decline in total serious crimes.

“Brooklyn continues to get safer year after year, and we’re now the safest we’ve ever been in terms of gun violence," DA Gonzalez said. As Brooklyn enters the early months of 2025, DA Gonzalez emphasized the importance of sustaining and building on this progress. “This success story is about partnerships, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to justice,” Gonzalez said. “We remain focused on keeping our communities safe and ensuring fairness and accountability across the justice system.” Read more about our achievements here
