Did you know March 22-28, 2025, is Doula Week in the State of New York?

The purpose of World Doula Week (WDW) is to empower doulas

all over the world to improve the physiological, social, emotional, and

psychological health of women, newborns and families in birth and in the postpartum period.

Senator Persaud sponsored Senate Reso. J109  because the presence of doulas during labor and the postpartum period are beneficial to the entire family.

Free Smoke Detectors from American Red Cross

Senator Persaud partnered with the American Red Cross to raise awareness about the dangers of home fires and the steps to prevent them.
