Brooklyn Dems Chair Calls for Governor Cuomo to Resign Following AG Report's Findings of Sexual Harassment & Abuse
(Brooklyn, NY) -- Brooklyn Democratic Party Chair Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn released the following statement after the office of Attorney General Letitia James issued a report on the sexual harassment allegations of Governor Andrew Cuomo that contained findings of sexual harassment and misconduct involving eleven victims:

"Governor Cuomo's sexual harassment and misconduct found in the AG's office extensive report is extremely troubling and horrific.

The Brooklyn Democratic Party's full sympathy goes out to the brave victims who endured these egregious experiences, but took heroic steps forward to provide evidence and live testimonies for the public of the disturbing behavior and abuse in a work environment 'filled with fear and intimidation.'

There is absolutely no room for sexual abuse, especially via elected officials who’ve been entrusted to fight for victims.

Governor Cuomo’s conduct found in the report is heinous and a gross abuse of power which indicates that he is unfit for office and must step down and resign."
We represent Democrats from every corner of this borough, all part of the largest county party in the country. We are an inclusive and diverse organization with leaders and activists from every neighborhood of Brooklyn.
