June 2022 Newsletter
Month In Review
We’re happy to bring you our latest newsletter, so you’ll be better updated on
the Party’s initiatives to keep Brooklyn Blue and improve our borough - including
events, community service, local initiatives, and, of course, Democratic wins!

Recently, the nation has been battered by the decisions handed down by the Trump's hand-picked and biased Supreme Court. SCOTUS has blocked the EPA from taking meaningful action to ease climate change and has bestowed more rights on guns while stripping them away from women.

But there is hope. Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson was sworn in as a Supreme Court Justice, becoming the first Black woman to serve in the highest court in the land.

We will get through this to better times. But we need your help to do it.

We've just had a primary election in June, and there's another primary election coming up in August, thanks to redistricting. Remember, local elections have the most impact on your life and your community, but yet have the lowest turnouts.

Democracy requires us all to be vigilant, and to use our voices at every opportunity. Let's make a positive difference together.

This is a badly needed ray of hope for our nation, especially after the deplorable decisions we have endured from the Supreme Court recently.” ~ Brooklyn Democrats Chair, Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn.

New York State Assembly passed the Concealed Carry Gun law (A41001) that would protect New Yorkers in public spaces like schools, government buildings, places of worship, grocery store, museums, stadiums, public transportation, and establishments that serve alcohol.
