The second semester is here!
Academics
Semester 2 Begins!
Yesterday students embarked on a new semester. For most students, their schedules remain nearly the same; for others, big changes in blocks, teachers or electives make for an entirely new experience. The academic office is here to help if students have questions. The course change period runs through the end of the academic day on Feb. 7. Reach out to Registrar Lisa Saunders or Academic Dean Currie Joya Huntington with any questions.

Winter Term Report Cards
The Winter Term report card, including pass/fail status and comments for Winter Term classes, is now available to parents/guardians in OnBrooks. If you have any questions or need support with OnBrooks, please contact Registrar Lisa Saunders.
Visit the Winter Term album to see classes in action and the Campus Highlights page to see highlights from Saturday's symposium presentation.
College Scholarship Opportunity for Andover Residents
This year Andona, a local non-profit organization located in Andover, will be awarding six $2,000 scholarships to graduates in the class of 2024. Brooks students who are legal residents of Andover are encouraged to apply. Application materials are due by Mar. 1.
Student Life
Check out the Weekend Bulletin to see all of the offerings, including jumping around at Sky Zone, shopping at Assembly Row, NFL playoff games and more.

All-State Chorus Honors
Congratulations to Phoebe Dooling ’27 for being accepted into the alto section of the Massachusetts Music Educators Association All-State Chorus! She is the first Brooks third-former this decade to make an all-state music ensemble. Only about 25% of all musicians who auditioned for a senior district music ensemble received a recommendation to audition for the all-state ensemble, and of those, only about half were accepted, putting Phoebe in the very upper echelon of high school vocalists in the state. The MMEA All-State Chorus will perform their annual concert on Mar. 23 at 12:45 p.m. at Boston's Symphony Hall.
Congratulations, Phoebe!

Plans for the end of Winter Season
The regular winter season comes to a close on Feb. 24. Winter team meetings and season wrap-up will take place on Feb. 26 at 3:45 p.m. for all winter teams not involved in postseason play. Spring activity meetings will be held on Feb. 27 at 3:45 p.m. Spring season tryouts will begin on Feb. 28 or 29 depending on winter postseason play.
Family Information
Two weeks from today is Brooks Giving Day! On February 8 our goal is to top 750 gifts from alumni, parents and friends. Look for more information about our challenges and raffles coming soon!
We have 272 cookies donated so far toward our goal of 400!
Thank you to everyone who has already donated cookies for our annual Treats for Your Sweets cookie extravaganza on Feb. 14. This year our hope is to provide Cookie Monstah cookies for all of our students and employees, over 400 cookies!

Please consider supporting this event in one of the following ways:
  • Check out our Sign Up Genius (volunteering, bringing balloons, donating raffle gift cards or underwriting the purchase of cookies for the event.)
  • Purchase treats from our Amazon wish list - everyone needs a Ring Pop or a tiny box of conversation heart candies on Valentine’s Day!

Thank you to co-chairs Jessie Kelleher P'24, Aybike Crott P'25, Jaclyn Olivieri P’26 and Elena Foster P'26, P'27 for coordinating this event! Any questions? Please contact one of the co-chairs or Director of the Brooks Fund and Family Engagement Mary Merrill.
