See You in the Webinar Tonight
A reminder that parents and guardians are invited to join Head of School John Packard and other Brooks administrators in a webinar at 7 p.m. (EST) this evening to hear more about the school's plans moving into the spring.
Form Deadline
As mentioned in the most recent community letter, please complete THIS FORM by Feb. 20, indicating whether your child would like to attend school in the spring as a boarding student, day student or virtual student. We would like to settle campus housing for the spring before we leave for Spring Break on March 6.
Brooks Together Kick-Off Event
We hope you will join us on Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. (EST) for a virtual launch of Brooks Together, our eight-week parent participation drive to support the Brooks Fund. Pour a drink, grab a snack and spend time with fellow parents as we hear from John Packard and current parent volunteer William Townsend P’23. A zoom invite has been emailed and will be sent again early next week.
Yearbook Reminders
Please remind your child to take and submit their portrait photo. They can find the directions here, via their email, or via the Brooks Yearbook Instagram. Portrait Photos are due Feb. 15. 
  • All Brooks students receive one yearbook at no cost. 
  • Additional yearbooks can be purchased for $100.
  • Graduates will receive their yearbooks at home (sent directly from the printer).
  • Current members of the student body will pick up theirs on campus.
  • If you would like to purchase an additional number of copies, you may do so via this Yearbook Order Center.

Scholastic Writing Award Winners
The English Department would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the following students on earning recognition in the 2021 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. We are extremely proud of their hard work, creativity, and passion!

  • Hongru Chen '22 earned two Honorable Mention awards for his poetry.
  • Heewon Noela Chung '23 earned a Gold Key award and an Honorable Mention award in the Critical Essay category.
  • Franklin Dong '22 earned three Silver Key awards and one Honorable Mention award in the Poetry category.
  • MD Olaoye '23 earned a Gold Key Award in the Short Story category.
  • Julianna Rivera '21 earned a Silver Key Award in the Critical Essay category.

Virtual Casino Night Tomorrow
Tell your student to include tomorrow night's virtual casino event -- from 9 to 10 p.m. (EST) -- in their weekend plans! Brooks's AP Statistics class created, and is hosting, a series of seven online games on which students can bet (every participant is given $100 in virtual currency) to win real-life prizes including Amazon and DoorDash gift cards.
