Virtual Family Google Meets
We invite you to join Head of School John Packard next week for a Google Meet conversation about the virtual learning experience. Broken into smaller groups, we hope these will be a time for open dialogue and discussion about topics on your mind. Watch for an invitation via email tomorrow with all the details.
Campus Visitation Policy: An Important Update
In addition to the email sent last night from Associate Head for Student Affairs Andrea Heinze announcing Sunday family visitation from 2-4 p.m., please read the following key update:

To ensure the safety of the Brooks community and balance the number of families on campus at one time, please share your visit intentions with us by using this SignUp Genius form. Note that there is space for 15 families in each thirty-minute window.

We will use this weekend to better understand the demand for visits and assess the measures in place to help keep all members of the Brooks Community safe. Thank you in advance for your help in this endeavor and for following the safety protocols outlined in the previous email.

If you are coming to campus to drop off items for your child at the drop-off area and are not planning to visit with your child, you do not need to complete the SignUp form. As a reminder, the drop-off days and times are:

  • Tuesdays 1 to 2 p.m.
  • Thursdays 7 to 9 a.m.
  • Sundays 2 to 4 p.m.
Thank You For The Treats!
Last Friday evening, boarding students were thrilled to arrive back at the dorms for check-in and find baskets full of tasty snacks and goodies of all varieties! Thank you so much to all who provided food or donations. It is greatly appreciated.

Plans are underway for our annual Ghostly Goodies treat event. Interested in helping out? Please contact Associate Director of Parent and Alumni Programs Nicole Jackson. More details to come next week.

New Deans' Den Blog Post
Sneak a peek inside a recent English class, about the Greek tragic hero literary device, and see for yourself how teachers are using technology in hybrid sessions that allows in-person and remote students to collaborate and learn together!
Flu Shot Reminder
Flu vaccines are required for all students in Mass., this school year. Families have until Dec. 31 to meet this requirement. However, the Health and Wellness Center urges everyone to get their flu shot sooner! A portion of our supply is in and we have started administering them to students. Please encourage your student to come to the Health and Wellness Center for theirs.

If your child received their flu vaccine prior to coming to school, make sure the documentation is sent to the Health and Wellness Center. In addition, please log into Magnus and change your consent for the vaccine to a "NO" answer if you did indeed receive the vaccine over the summer. Updating your information will help assure we have accurate information on hand. Thank you.
