Nametag Party
Head of School John Packard and his wife Kim Packard are hosting the annual nametag party on Sept. 24! Students new to Brooks, and student leaders, are invited to get to know one another better while enjoying some snacks in the Head of School’s House on campus. Festivities begin at 9 p.m. and day student parents should plan on picking up their student(s) by 10 p.m.

Reminder for Sixth-Form Parents
On Oct. 1, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will be available to send to colleges. If you haven’t already, we encourage you to start this process as soon as possible. To begin registration, visit fafsa.ed.gov. Join Us in The Lehman Art Center
Please join us Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. for the formal opening of our first exhibit of the year: “ Environments, Cultures, and Wildlife at Risk ” by artists Dan Mead and Sally Eagle of MeadEaglePhoto.

The international award-winning photographers have been exploring and documenting their travels together for 40 years. From the Himalayas to the Antarctic, Patagonia to Namibia, the Western United States to Iceland, a passion to explore and discover has defined their lives. This photography exhibition on sustainability in The Lehman Art Center will encourage dialogue about global studies, the environment, photography and the interaction of the visual and literary arts. Come meet the artists and view this collection of more than 30 stunning photographic images. We would love to see you there! 
Hike for Hope
For the fourth year, our campus club Alianza Latina is spearheading Brooks’ participation in the Hike for Hope, a three-mile walk in Andover, Mass., which raises funds for Lazarus House (an organization that provides food, shelter and clothing to the local community). This year, the event is on Sept. 29. Click to register to walk or donate to the "Brooks School" team . Students, parents, friends and family of Brooks are all welcome!

Calling All Student Musicians
The private music lesson program will begin next week. If your child is interested in taking lessons, and you have not contacted the school yet, please email Music Teacher Claudia Keller . If your child is a financial aid student, there may be funds available to assist with the fees. Lessons are $47 each and take place every week while school is in session. If you have any other questions please contact Claudia Keller.
Course-Change Period
A reminder that the course-change period for student classes will close on Sept. 21. All students considering a course change should contact Academic Dean Susanna Waters .
