Gratitude from the McCollums & Corleys
Thank you for your love and prayers. Jennifer, David, Matthew, Lillian, Lawrence, Lindsay, Courtney, Sawyer, and Wyatt appreciate and need them all. There are no words to express how heartbroken we are. If you knew our Michael, you knew that he could drive you nuts one second and have you laughing the next. He had a heart for people and a gift of making others feel included, loved, but little tolerance for disingenuousness. He was real, warts and all, and expected the same from others. If you didn't know Michael you missed out on a beautiful smile and a good laugh. , We do not understand God's timing and will miss Michael every single day for the rest of our lives but we console ourselves in knowing that Michael died doing what he loved and with people that he loved. He'd had a great day. He lived
life big and has left a big hole in many hearts. Hug your babies tight and never miss a chance to tell them how much you love them. Thank you all for your continued prayers and word of comfort.
Thank you for the many cards, notes, emails, plants, and memorials. If not
otherwise designated, the memorials will be given to the Children's Fresh Air Farm, a camp for underprivileged children in the Birmingham area or the Boy Scouts of America. Michael was involved in both as his Eagle Scout project was a dedication to his Grandmother at the CFAF. His Grandmother was a longtime volunteer there, thus, his BSA Eagle Project.
