Spring Into Gardening!

Come celebrate Earth Day, the opening of the Broomfield Seed Library, and spring itself outside the Broomfield Library on Saturday, April 23, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Bring your extra edible or ornamental plant seeds to share at the Community Seed Swap, and take home some new varieties for your garden. No seeds? No problem! All are welcome to browse, make seed starting kits from recycled materials, and join other activities for all ages.

While it’s easy to get over zealous this time of year, not all plants are ready to go in the ground. Colorado Master Gardener volunteers will be on hand to help you sort through planting times and other garden questions to get your season off on the right foot! Gardeners and non-gardeners alike can learn about Broomfield’s Zero Waste initiative, and enjoy Earth Day art activities and giveaways.
