Family Learn and Grow
This monthly series of hands-on workshops at the Teaching Vegetable Garden at Brunner Farmhouse are for 3rd to 5th graders and their families. Get your hands dirty while learning about plants, pollinators and nutritious foods, and find fun activities you can use at home to keep growing together. Vegetable Garden Basics
If you are a beginner vegetable gardener, this series is for you! Classes will take place at the Teaching Vegetable Garden at Brunner Farmhouse on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, beginning April 13. With practical topics like plant spacing, transplanting, irrigation, pruning and harvesting, this series will give you a season of practice with techniques you can use at home for a successful backyard veggie garden. Xeriscape Demonstration Garden Tours
Get inspiration for your own water wise and pollinator friendly garden in monthly guided tours of the Xeriscape Demonstration Garden, located at the George Di Ciero City and County Building. CSU Extension horticulture staff and volunteers will answer your xeriscaping questions and showcase their favorite well adapted plants for a range of conditions and needs. Broomfield Annual Tree Sale Begins April 1
|
Broomfield Parks, Recreation and Senior Services is pleased to announce the Annual Tree Sale is back. Beginning April 1, you can go to B-REx.com to purchase a tree.
If you are a Broomfield resident who would like to add a Colorado suitable and disease resistant tree to your property, now is your chance. Tree pick-up will take place at the Tree Branch Recycle Center on Sat., April 15, from 8 a.m. - noon.

Spring Cleanup
Don’t miss out! Broomfield's Spring Cleanup will begin on April 22! During Spring Cleanup, residents can dispose of large, non-hazardous items trash haulers do not normally pick up at NO CHARGE! Identify and select your area to see when trash haulers will be in your neighborhood, view the list of acceptable items and learn more about properly disposing of household waste.

Colorado State University Extension is offering a full slate of webinars this spring on a wide range of horticultural topics. Classes are free to the public, but registration is required. After registering, you will be emailed a link to join the Zoom meeting.

April 8, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
CSU Spur Campus
Second Saturdays at CSU Spur are free and open to the public with family-friendly programs like cooking in the CSU Spur kitchen, watching veterinarians perform surgery, engaging with scientists at work, and playing in a kid’s kitchen or vet clinic.
A food truck is available for lunch purchase.

PULSE Gathering for Creatives

PULSE is a free networking event for creatives that gives you the opportunity to connect with other professionals and industry leaders, build your creativity, and discover more about your community's arts and cultural scene. The first PULSE of 2023 will celebrate the Grand Opening of the Crawford Honey House, a new historical programming space. It will include a "walking dialogue" about the purpose of public art, a presentation from CSU Extension about their vision for community engagement, and an exploration of the role of historic properties in your community.
