Returning to "Normal"
Beginning June 1 the Broomfield CSU Extension office will begin holding walk-in office hours and increased in-person services. The Extension office, located on the first floor of the Library, will be open Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with live horticulture help on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are still many other ways to find answers to your yard and garden questions!
-
Contact the Broomfield Master Gardener Helpline any time by filling out this form or leaving a message at 303.464.5554. A Master Gardener volunteer will follow up with you within two business days.
- Find the Broomfield Master Gardeners at "Ask a Master Gardener" booths in the community. These mobile clinics will be held monthly at the Broomfield Library and the Broomfield Farmers' Market. Plus, on Saturday, May 29, Master Gardeners will be at Front Range Gardens for Plant Select's "Bring on the Heat" event, answering all your questions about drought tolerant plants for the landscape.
-
If you need an onsite consultation, horticulture site visits can be booked through B-REx.com. CSU Extension staff will help you work toward your garden goals with up to an hour at your site and written recommendations afterward.

Summer is just around the corner! Are you ready? Follow these six tips for a safer summer!
🦠 Get vaccinated! Vaccinated individuals do not need to quarantine before or after travel and can visit international destinations.
😷 Wear a face covering when the situation requires it. Face coverings, in combination with other prevention measures, are an effective prevention technique.
🚸 Protect teens and children! Teens and children that are unable to get vaccinated are still at risk, and case rates in the 10-19 age group have been increasing. Help teens and children pick low-risk activities, follow public health guidance, keep up preventative measures, and get vaccinated when available.
🏕️ Opt-outside. Outside gatherings present less risk than indoor gatherings.
⚖️ Evaluate risk. Depending on your vaccination status, medical history, or other factors some types of events may present more risk than others.
✈️ Check for local public health ordinances before traveling. Unnecessary travel is still not recommended, but if you do travel keep in mind other states or counties may have local rules in place that vary from Broomfield.
