Colorado Garden & Home Show Coming Soon!
Are you looking for inspiration as you plan your next garden? Check out the 2024 Colorado Garden & Home Show, which will be held Feb. 24 through March 3 at the Colorado Convention Center. Organized by the Colorado Garden Foundation, the event features more than 500 gardening and home improvement companies, eight indoor gardens complete with real flowers and plants, and an educational exhibit hosted by CSU Extension.
Colorado Master Gardeners from across the state will be on-site at the educational garden to provide demonstrations and answer on-the-spot gardening questions. Demonstrations include:
- How to repot rootbound plants
- Step-by-step instructions on how to plan vegetable garden beds
- Forcing bulbs
- Firewise landscape planning
- And more! Be on the lookout for a live snail demonstration and the opportunity to decorate terra cotta pots with your family.
Tickets are now available online, and 100 percent of every ticket sold is awarded throughout Colorado in the form of grants and student scholarships, including one four-year, full-ride scholarship to attend a Colorado institution. To date, the Colorado Garden Foundation has awarded more than $13 million for horticultural projects and scholarships throughout the state.

Colorado Pollinating Insects Study
Earlier this month, Governor Polis released the Colorado Native Pollinating Insects Health Study which is the most robust and detailed account of pollinator health ever undertaken in Colorado history. As directed by Senate Bill 22-199, the study assesses the health of Colorado’s native pollinators, evaluates state policies for safeguarding pollinators, and makes recommendations on how to preserve and protect pollinators in Colorado.
The comprehensive study was completed through a partnership of the Colorado Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Colorado State University Extension, Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation, and the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History.
