COVID-19 Vaccine Information:
|
|
➡ As of Oct. 25, 82.9% of eligible Broomfielders (age 12 and older) are fully vaccinated! In contrast, 71.8% of the total Broomfield population is fully vaccinated. As a reminder, there are over 9,500 of Broomfield children who are currently unable to get vaccinated due to their age (11 or younger).
➡ Boosters are available for all three COVID-19 vaccines for certain populations! Read More about what populations qualify.
➡ The CDC also authorized a “mix and match” approach to booster doses. People may get a different type of vaccine for their booster than their original series. For example, if you received a Johnson & Johnson vaccine for your first dose, you may choose to get a booster dose of Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson.
➡ The City and County of Broomfield is not currently hosting mass public vaccine clinics at this time, but boosters are free and easily accessible at many local locations, like pharmacies, community clinics, hospital systems, primary care providers, and more! Visit Broomfield.org/COVIDVaccine to find a location near you. If you have questions about vaccine distribution or safety, please call the state's hotline at 1.877.268.2926. Trained call center operators can give information in multiple languages.

➡ Raptor Management Plan: Broomfield is fortunate to have a variety of active raptor populations thriving in a suburban setting. However, these majestic birds, which include species like Bald Eagles, Great Horned Owls, and Red-tailed Hawks, are sensitive to disturbances in their nesting and breeding habitats. To identify ways to minimize habitat impacts on raptors and develop best management practices at the local level, Broomfield is creating a Raptor Management Plan. This plan will seek to protect raptors, while also working within the state and federal regulatory framework and respecting private property rights. You can learn more about the plan, how to get involved, and leave your comments about Raptor Management at BroomfieldVoice.com/RaptorPlan.
