  1. Fill out your ballot - VOTE NO ON BROOMFIELD QUESTIONS 2A, 2B, and 2G!
  2. Drop your ballot in the secure ballot box at the Broomfield City and County Building or another drop off location, or
  3. Drop your ballot off inside the polling center ant the Broomfield City and County Building,

For the state-level and Broomfield ballot questions, we've put together a more descriptive guide that is available on our website. Please visit if you need more perspective on why you should vote for or against the ballot measures. Remember, we are here to advocate and provide transparency to the taxpayer.

Vote No on Broomfield Questions 2A, 2B. and 2G.

As we have mentioned in past newsletters, 7 Broomfield questions on the Broomfield Charter. Three of these measures will take away your voice and give more power and control to the Broomfield Council.

We are standing with ProtectYourVoteNow.com to make sure these questions are not passed. and here's why:

  • Ballot Question 2A would give the Broomfield Council the ability to control the terms of recall elections, and appoint the replacement of a recalled Councilmember.
  • Ballot Question 2B would increase the number of terms that Broomfield Councilmembers can serve from two 4-year terms to three 4-year terms.
  • Ballot Question 2G would increase the Broomfield Mayor's term length from 2 years to 4 years.

Visit ProtectYourVoteNow.com for more information, share with your friends and neighbors, and urge them to vote no on 2A, 2B, and 2G.

"The Many Faces of Colorado, and How They Effect Our Economy"

On Saturday, October 26th, we heard about the different industries across CO and how it affects our economy! A big thanks to Dusty Johnson, running for House District 63, for her amazing presentation and deep knowledge of AG and Oil & Gas.

We will take a break with the Make Your Voice Heard series in November.

We will be hosting a holiday party on Saturday December 7th, and invite you to join us. More details to come.

2024 Election Integrity Problems in Colorado?

Secretary of State Jena Griswold, who is responsible for Colorado's election, allowed 600 passwords for Colorado's voting machines to be available on a public-facing website.

Although she called it a mistake, it was a breach of the public trust. She also said the person who placed the spreadsheet on the website no longer works there. Kyle Clark from 9news asked her if she would resign for this serious security snafu.

Does this give you more confidence that the elections are secure? Although she said these passwords were only half the information needed to gain access to the voting machines, these passwords were online for months, not just days or hours. She refused to take responsibility for the breach, even though she is the person in-charge of the integrity of Colorado's elections.

In the interview with Kyle Clark, Mr. Clark asked how many counties passwords were leaked, news reports said all but one, Jena Griswold obfuscated and never brought up an actual number.

Secretary Griswold also admitted that they had not informed the county clerks when they discovered the "mistake." Kyle Clark reminded her that "she labeled the unauthorized release of any voting system password as a serious breach." This was in reference to the Tina Peters case, who was sentenced to 9 years. "The charges are all tied to a security breach for elections equipment at the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder's office in May 2021." Is this not the same thing? Shouldn't Colorado Secretary of State Griswold be held to her own standard?

Broomfield Council Passes 50% Water Rate Increase

The Broomfield Council passed the 50% increase in the water rates during the Council Meeting on October 22, 2024.

What does that mean for you? We detailed the increases In our July 15th newsletter, about all the water rate hikes in the last 2 years: September 2022, September 2023, and October 2024.

That is a 77% increase since 2023, and a 50% increase just this year!. By 2028, that will be a 133% increase since 2023.

So, will this be the end of the water rate increases? Not if you look at what Broomfield is telling us to expect on their own website.

In fact, Broomfield is telling citizens to expect additional increases over the next 3 years, which will increase the average water bill to $158 by 2028.

This year's water rate increase also follows a study (done by a different entity), so only time will tell if they anticipated the costs correctly. Already the Windy Gap's construction costs have increased. Stay tuned.

In an interview with CBS 4 Colorado, Rick Fernandez weighed in on the water rate hike stating, "We're grappling every single month with our day-to-day bills, our family budgets, and the feeling is that the city's not really doing much on their end to kind of meet us halfway."

There are people on the outside who have been tracking the expenditures. Taxpayers matter because they foot the bill for everything, including the proposed assistance program.

It doesn't make much sense to take money from people who can't afford it and then give them assistance for taking too much of their money, that they needed to pay bills.
