  • Look for these things:
  • Having an option for customers to “sign in” to facilitate notifying them if an exposure occurs.
  • Providing contactless payment or prepayment options whenever possible.
  • Customer waiting areas, outdoors if possible, that maintain proper physical distancing from other guests.
  • Restrict standing and/or congregating in the bar area, entrance/exit, and any interior spaces.
  • Request customers to wear face coverings when not eating or drinking, e.g., walking past other tables to get to delivery areas or restrooms. 
  • Make accommodations for individuals unable to adhere to masking and physical distancing requirements, such as takeout, curbside, or delivery.

City Updates
  • Traffic Updates:
  • Beginning Today, the northbound lanes at the intersection of 144th and Zuni will be closed for construction of the North Area Force Mains (NAFM). The southbound lane on Zuni at 144th will remain open. The closure and detour are expected to be in place for 3 to 4 weeks depending on boring conditions and weather.
  • McKay Park Drive will be closed at 144th May 26 to May 30 to install a concrete crosspan. Traffic will be detoured around the closure to Shannon Drive as shown in the map on the project webpage.

Telephone Town Hall: Join the Telephone Town Hall on May 28 at 7 p.m. Residents can call 855.695.3744 the night of, or sign up to be called directly . RSVP and share the Facebook event for updates as well. Town Hall audio is now streamed live on Channel 8 as well. If you are not able to make it, listen to the available recordings .
State / Federal Updates
  • Gov. Jared Polis announced Monday updates to Safer at Home and changes to restaurants, summer camps and private camping.
  • State releases new modeling data from Colorado School of Public Health. The latest Colorado model report is now available to the public, as are the presentation slides from today’s media briefing. All modeling reports are available on the Colorado School of Public Health’s COVID-19 website. The report provides an estimate of the degree of distancing that Coloradans have achieved so far. It also provides projections based on various policy scenarios around physical distancing, mask-wearing, and improved case detection and containment. The models are based on Colorado data and assumptions.

  • Community Reach Center has introduced the Senior Reach program. This community program identifies older adults who may need in-home emotional or physical support and/or connection to community services.
  • For All Residents:
  • Make an appointment for in-person city services or access online services at Broomfield.org/MakeAnAppointment
  • Sign up to be a part of Broomfield Pals, where neighbors offer connection and assistance during the COVID-19 public health crisis to help you stay safer at home.
  • Mental health resources including access to local services, mental wellness and support resources and safety and welfare information can be found on Broomfield.org/COVID. Disruptions in our routines can challenge mental health and resilience; resources are available to assist you during this challenging time. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency please call 911.
  • Access services from Broomfield FISH including food pick up. These services are for anyone struggling financially due to COVID-19. View the April and May food distribution hours here. 
  • Apply now for the Bridge-The-Gap program which provides housing payment assistance to Broomfield residents that have lost wages due to the impact of COVID-19. See eligibility criteria, learn more and apply online at Broomfield.org/BridgeTheGap.

  • Need a mask? You can pick up one fabric mask per household member during library curbside pick up Tues.-Sat. 10 a.m.-1 p.m. while supplies last (no Tuesday pickup this week.) Watch this video to learn how library curbside pick up works.
  • For Businesses:
  • Visit Broomfield.org/COVIDEconomicSupport for information and links to help businesses and employees sustain through this downturn and support the rebuilding of the local economy.

  • The Broomfield Chamber and the North Metro Small Business Development Center are providing connections and assistance to businesses as they reopen and work toward business success.
  • For Employees: A direct link to file for the expanded Unemployment Insurance programs and benefits and information on other programs, such as Bridging the Gap.
  • For Residents to Support Businesses: Information about local businesses serving the community, with adjusted service and hours.
  • Businesses can apply for the Enhance Broomfield program, which offers a one-time grant of up to $7,500 which can be used for some operating expenses. This program has received a large number of applications, and funds are limited. The application process is relatively simple, but is a good step forward in filling out an application for other potential business support programs or for a bank’s working capital loans.
  • Support Resources for Colorado Businesses During COVID-19 is a resource site hosted by the Colorado Office of Economic Development.

  • Apply today to be a part of Broomfield Pals, where you can help friends and neighbors in need by offering connection and assistance during the COVID-19 public health crisis.
  • Use NextDoor’s Neighborhood Help Map to list things you are able and willing to do for neighbors in your area, such as phone check-ins, pet care and more. Follow all safety guidelines and requirements while helping or providing help to neighbors.
  • Donate Blood: There is an urgent need for blood donations. Visit Vitalant.org or call 303.363.2300 for scheduling or questions.
  • Donate Money:
  • Donate to the Disaster Relief fund through the Broomfield Community Foundation.
  • Do you have unspent lunch funds in your student's account? You can donate these funds directly to the emergency food program that supports BVSD families in need through The School Food Project. It's as simple as filling out three questions on this form.
  • Donate Food: FISH is asking the community to help donate the following most needed items: peanut butter, oatmeal, canned meat, mac & cheese, and spaghettios.
  • Donate Items:
  • A Precious Child is accepting cleaning supplies and hygiene items listed on their Amazon wishlists. They are also taking walk-in donations on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday's of children's clothing, diapers and hygiene items. 
  • Volunteer:
  • URGENT: Help Expand COVID-19 Testing in Broomfield. If you are a medical professional (retired or active), or know someone who is, please send an email with your information to [email protected]

  • Are you a medical professional? Sign up to volunteer.
  • Governor Jared Polis created the Colorado Covid-19 Innovation Response Team to introduce telehealth/telemedicine service supporting approximately 800,000 uninsured and under-served Coloradans. Help the team provide health services while reducing strain on healthcare facilities, leaving hospital beds open to the most severely ill.
