The Short Vort
Good Morning!

Today is the 23 of Teves 5779 and December 31,2018

My Brother

I met him in the holy streets of Yerushalayim.
Me in my white shirt and black yarmulke.
He in his army green uniform and a knitted yarmulke atop his head.
Spontaneously I grabbed him and hugged him.
“My brother, my brother, you are a tzaddik! You protect HaShem’s children so they can learn Torah in peace and without distraction. I owe you so much!”
However, that’s not why I hugged him and that’s not why I love him.
I love him because he is my brother and brothers love each other unconditionally, irrespective of anything else.
He is my brother and I love him.
No more words are needed
He does his job as I attempt to do mine.
We are brothers and that’s all that matters!
With love,
From the holy city of Yerushalayim,
