As you continue or begin to populate the 2020-21 school year data please take advantage of using one of the numerous Data Validation Scripts available to use as a tool to assist in validating the integrity of data in your ODS. The list of available validation scripts that can be used in the MiDataHub cockpit to validate data can be found on the MiDataHub Website under "Support" > "Data Validation Queries" or by clicking here. Short descriptions of each query are included to provide you details on what data will be output.
- A few of the more widely used scripts are detailed below, along with some instructional tutorials on how to run each of them.
School Data Load Analysis - This validation query provides a breakdown of data loaded in several categories for each school building within your district. This script is very helpful in ensuring all of the data is loaded for every school. For those that have used the At-A-Glance report located in the MiDataHub cockpit, you will find this script very similar in that it provides an aggregate count of records, but this script provides much more (and clearer) detail on each category of data residing in your ODS.
School Section Analysis - This validation query can be used to validate that each school has sections published to MiDataHub and will provide the end user the counts of both students and assigned staff.
Data Freshness Script - This query lists the tables that are populated with data, along with specific details on when they were first populated and most recently updated. This script is very useful in that it provides end users when the last update was made to a specific set of data (Student Section, Attendance, etc.).
