Recreation. Preservation. Education.

The National Recreation and Park Association recognizes July as Park and Recreation Month. This year’s theme “Where You Belong,” celebrates how Broward County is stronger, more vibrant and more resilient because of parks and recreation. Share your experiences, memories, and stories about what parks and recreation mean to you. Broward Parks offer everything from airboat rides, boat rentals, equestrian trails, to mountain bike trails, disc golf courses, campgrounds, picnic shelters and water parks. You'll find plenty of ways to play.

*In honor of National Park and Recreation Month, gate entrance fees to regional parks will be waived on the Fourth of July.

Help Your Pets Beat the Heat

South Florida summer temperatures have consistently hit extremes of 95 degrees or higher prompting many heat advisories and warnings. An extreme heat advisory goes into effect when the heat index reaches 105 degrees. As temperatures creep higher and higher, it's important to keep yourself and your pets as cool as possible.
