Road Work Ahead

The County's Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division has begun replacing concrete bridge barrier walls, sidewalk reconstruction, and milling/resurfacing on the South Andrews Avenue Bridge, stretching south of Andrews Avenue between Davie Boulevard and SW 11th Street in Fort Lauderdale (see map). The Division has also started cleaning the drainage system and making minor repairs along North Andrews Avenue between Sunrise Boulevard and Oakland Park Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale and Wilton Manors (see map).

Both gas-tax-funded projects are expected to be completed by August 2026.

As a proactive measure, Broward's Mosquito Control Section will be spraying larvicide May 4-8 in areas of Fort Lauderdale, Lauderdale Lakes, North Lauderdale and Oakland Park (see map) between 10pm-6am. Help reduce potential mosquito breeding habitats by regularly surveying your property and removing any standing water found in buckets, tires, planters, birdbaths, and fountains. Residents experiencing mosquito problems can request service by calling 311 or online:
