A monthly community newsletter about life in Broward County and for residents and visitors to get the latest information on services, programs and events.

September is National Recovery Month

National Recovery Month raises awareness of services available to help those in our community prevent, treat and recover from substance abuse and mental health disorders.

For more than 50 years, the Broward Addiction Recovery Center (BARC) has been offering a full range of in and outpatient services for individuals 18 years and older. More than 4,000 people are helped each year.

Broward County Mosquito Control is a year-round operation, but residents are still asked to do their part to reduce the number of these flying biters. Mosquitoes can breed in almost anything that holds water – bottles, cans, buckets, hoses, planters, and even plants such as bromeliads. Please check your property regularly and dump any standing water. Residents can request free mosquito spray services by completing an online mosquito service request form or calling 311.
