NEW IBERIA, La. --- The 2021 Brown Sugar Music Festival will be held Sept. 25, 2021 on Hopkins Street, between Field and Robertson streets, in New Iberia.
The event was put on hold last year because of the pandemic. To celebrate its return to New Iberia's West End, Envision da Berry invites the public to participate in two events. On the second Saturday of each month until September 11, Da Berry Fresh Market holds a Flea Market Fundraiser from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. at 520 S. Hopkins St.
On Saturday, July 17, Envision da Berry will also host a Brown Sugar Brunch from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at 121 Julia St. The brunch will include food, art, music, mimosas and a “Brown Sugar Memories” visual presentation retracing the history of Brown Sugar in New Iberia.
"As weird of a year we all had in 2020, 2021 has the potential to add more layers to a time that will be remembered forever," said event planner Anthony Daniels (aka Moose Harris). "I believe that the 2021 Brown Sugar Music Festival deserves to continue being a part of the positive memories in Iberia Parish and beyond."
