Team Champions
The final round of the 2019 WSCGA Team Championship at Fripp Island Club Ocean Point Course was thrilling. The day was tough with consistant 25 mph winds, a high of 56 degrees, and a formant of Modified Alternate shot. Lea Anne Brown/Rachel Wyatt went into the final round 3 shots behind the leaders, Lea Venable/Buggy Reinke, but that didn't keep them from playing hard. Brown/Wyatt were steady for the front nine and then turned their game on on the back by birding 3 of their last 6 holes to post an even par 72. Venable/Reinke also carded 3 birdies in the final round but included one bad hole in the mix to post a 76. Brown/Wyatt took the championship by one stroke leaving Venable/Reinke with the Runner-up position.

Winning the First Flight by birding three of the four par 3's on the course was the duo of Karen Ferree and Savannah Hylton. Ferree/Hylton posted a two over 74 today to edge out the team of Terrie Allemang and Leigh Coulter. Allemang/Coulter posted the most birdies of any team today with 4 on the back nine.

The Second Flight was won by the team of Betty Jean Armbruster and Nancy Dodge carding a 76 for a two day total of 154. Finishing second in the Second Flight was the team of Suzann Bartley and Natalie Huff who posted 3 birdies today as well.

One shot separated the leaders in the Third Flight between Susan Christian/Luke Myers and Connie Chick/Karen Harwood. Christian/Myers edged out Chick/Harwood with a 167 two day total. Finishing third in the Third Flight was Teddy Stockwell and Laura Rawl just 4 shots out of first.

The Fourth Flight top three teams consisted of Mary Jones/Sherry Bess, Patricia Reid/Hall Bickman, and Jane Webb/Linda Nix. Jones and Bess took the Fourth Flight championship shooting a 170 to beat Reid/Bickman by one shot and Webb/Nix by 3.

Jennifer O'Brien and Betty Poore secured the Fifth Flight title by 13 shots over Mary Sudzina/Lee Harper team. O'Brien/Poore carded a 175.
