Big news! Brownfields 2021 will be the inaugural event for Brownfields University as our pre-conference training. The curriculum for Brownfields University will provide core brownfield concepts and practices to prepare attendees for the full educational program content. BU provides valuable hands-on learning and engagement for emerging brownfield practitioners and seasoned professionals alike. Attendees will be better prepared to select educational sessions to attend, and better prepared to engage presenters and exhibitors with freshly informed understanding of subjects covered throughout the conference. Technical Assistance to Brownfields Communities (TAB) Providers Selected

In April, EPA selected six organizations to provide TAB services around the country. Some are new, some are veteran providers, and all of them are getting ready to provide communities technical knowledge, research, and training to support brownfield revitalization across the country. ICMA is proud to announce that we have been selected as the TAB provider for EPA Region 4! We are thrilled to join the ranks of the other providers supporting all EPA regions. Click the link below to read more about assistance available to you.

News from EPA  On May 11, EPA announced $66.5 Million of Brownfield Multipurpose, Assessment, and Cleanup (MAC) Grants awarded to 151 communities across the country.  Awardees include our state and local conference hosts to whom we extend congratulations for the $300,000 cleanup grant to the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma, and a $300,000 community wide assessment grant to the City of Oklahoma City.  Click the links below to learn more.
