Browns Backers Charity Raffles
Policy and Rules
The Naples Browns Backers are free to join, and we do not charge dues.
We hold 50/50 Charity Raffles on most Sundays, tickets are $5 a piece, and it is strictly voluntary.
Portions of the raffle proceeds will be used to purchase Browns-related prizes that will also be given away in conjunction with the raffles, and a year-long working budget.
The Naples Browns Backers are a non-profit organization, and at the end of the year our entire remaining budget, including merchandise profits and remaining raffle proceeds, will be donated to our year-end donation to Cancer Alliance of Naples

Sunday, September 25th
Plans are coming together for the biggest Browns Backer Event yet!
The Dolphins have sold out our original section (315), we bought 42 tickets for $65 a piece in that section.
But they have just opened up a block of tickets one section over, in Section 314, which are $40 tickets (these are all group rates with no additional charges)
We have already bought 8 of those and now have 50 total tickets.
If you have paid me for tickets, you are one of those 50, and your tickets will arrive in my mail sometime in Mid-August, and I will distribute sometime after that.
If you have not bought a ticket, but want to go, let me know THIS WEEK and I can get more of the $40 tickets in Section 314.

Hotels and Parties
We have secured a great Hotel deal at the Hollywood Beach Marriott! I suggest you book NOW, I don't know how long availability will last.
Hollywood Beach Marriott for 119.00 USD per night.
Rate also includes complimentary self-parking (a savings of $17 per night), and a complimentary flight of craft beer at Hollywood Brewing, right on the Hollywood Broadwalk. If you sign up for their rewards program, you get free Wi-Fi as well.
The rate is good from September 20-29th. Most folks I have talked to are booking at least Saturday and Sunday night, some are making a longer weekend out of it. I'm already booked for Saturday and Sunday Nights.
All weekend there will be Free trolley rides from the hotels on the Beach (including ours) to downtown Hollywood (2 miles) and from Tri Rail to downtown Hollywood for Browns Backers.
The Official Browns Backer Bash will be at The Brass Tap in downtown Fort Lauderdale Saturday Night, we will organize transportation for everyone that wants to go.
Getting to the Game from Hollywood
There will be a charter bus leaving from Mickey Byrnes Irish Pub 1921 Hollywood Blvd. Hollywood,Fl. 33020 on Sunday morning Sept. 25th for $20 per person. (There will be a private lot reserved near Mickey Byrnes for BBers that are taking the buses to park their cars). This $20 will need to be paid in advance. The $20 per person pays for the bus trip and includes a brown bag lunch and a beer and a ticket for a chance to win 2 free round trip flights to Cleveland or Ft. Lauderdale on Spirit Airlines. Also "goody bags" for bus riders from the City of Hollywood. The buses will park in Bus Lot 7 (NW Corner of stadium near our seats) and we can all tailgate outside the buses, including the bus from Naples, or walk over to Lot 15 to tailgate with the other BBers who drove their own vehicles to the game.
Also on Sunday before the buses leave for the game there will be a Bloody Mary bar at Mickey Byrnes in Hollywood,Fl. Upon returning to Mickey Byrnes after the game there will be a Bar-B-Q for $10 per person for those who hopefully will be celebrating a big win by the Browns. Hollywood BBers' 2016 T-Shirts to commemorate the game will be available for $10 for bus riders ($20 for non-riders)
Parking Passes: If you need a parking pass, they will be sold in advance for Lot 15 (Browns Backer Busses = Lot 7, Browns backers Cars = Lot 15) at $25 per vehicle ($40 on gameday) I will send out that link for purchase parking passes on-line to those that need it when it becomes available.
Getting to the Game from Naples
If you are not doing the hotel deal, we will be arranging transportation leaving Naples from Joey D's to the stadium and back on gameday. It will take you to Lot 15 at the stadium, where we will all tailgate together.
We will figure out how many people we have, then determine the size bus we need, and divide the cost of the bus by the number of folks going (It has worked out to $40-50 pp in the past, but it will depend largely on how many people are going)
OK, here is the important part:
I will be in charge of organizing transportation for everyone who is going the Hollywood Beach hotel route and I will be collecting $20 per head for everyone that wants to take the bus from Hollywood to the game. (Even if you want to drive to Hollywood early sunday morning, leave your car there and take that bus with us).
So if you are in the Hotel Group and/or the Hollywood Bus Group, send me a quick e-mail or text so that I can put you on that e-mail list.
If you want to take transportation from Naples and back on the day of the game, send a quick e-mail or text to our newly annointed "Transportation Secretary" (She wears many hats), Bonnie Smith.

Prez does some "Planning"
El Presidente was invited to partake in the planning of the big Official Browns Backer Weekend, as I got to meet Megan Rock, Official Browns Backer Worldwide Coordinator, and the Presidents and Vice Presidents of many of the South Florida Browns Backer Chapters, including the Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale, Broward, Coconut Creek and Palm Beach Backers Clubs.
We had a nice time sampling the libations from all of the contenders to host the Browns Backers Bash coming up on Saturday, September 24th, and ultimately the bash was awarded to The Brass Tap in Fort Lauderdale.
We then finished up the evening with dinner at the original Bokampers, a Cavs game, and a couple of photo ops:

Our esteemed Vice President, Tommy Chirico, made it official and re-married his mate for life, the wonderful and lovely Dana!

Aunt Barb had to miss the draft party, and then she missed the newsletter when I sent it out before I got this picture ... so we have to include it so that everyone knows she was with us in spirit and rooting on the Browns draft from home!

2016 Events!
We are planning a fun Off-Season full of events followed by our biggest Tailgate Event In-Season ... A Trip to Miami!
Cavs In the Finals!
Hope you all are rooting for the Cavs as hard as I am ... I want that Championship for Cleveland!
If (When) the Cavs win at home Thursday Night, we will plan a Game Seven Viewing Party at Joey D's on Sunday!
