Character Counts

All students will be participating in character education lessons this year during their 5th period classes, and each month we will highlight a different trait.  Below is an example of a graphic that is posted in every classroom to remind students of these important character traits.

"Know that it is you who will get you where you want to go, no one else."

BHS Color Guard

The A guard finished the regular season at the IHSCGA Prelim State Finals.  The students had a great show and should be very proud of themselves.  The Open Guard qualified for IHSCGA State Finals.  The Open Guard had a great performance at finals and should be very proud of their efforts!

BHS Competition Choirs end their seasons this weekend at the State Level

Overall, this has been a very successful year and a shout out is needed for the choir directors, Mrs. Melissa Stainbrook and Mr. Chad Strasser on all of their time spent preparing the students for competition. Countless hours of practice have been put in by the students and teachers and it is great to see this hard work paying off.

5th Annual Riley Dance Marathon a Huge Success

For the 5th year in a row, Brownsburg High School has opened its doors for an evening to "stand for those kids that can't" at the Riley Dance Marathon.  This year students were able to participate in Zumba, have a basketball tournament, participate in face painting, bounce around in bounce houses and welcome Radio Now DJs to the Fieldhouse for tons of dancing.

The best part of the evening is when families who have been impacted in such a positive way by Riley Hospital for Children speak to the crowd.  The heartfelt stories of survival and courage truly drive the spirit of the RDM and is the most important and fun part of the evening.

A lot of planning goes in to this event and is 100% student driven.  Throughout the past four years, BCSC has been able to raise approximately $80,000 for Riley Hospital for Children and we know that this tradition will continue for many years to come.

BHS Welcomes New Members to the National Honor Society

On March 9th, Brownsburg High School welcomed 136 new members to the National Honor Society at a very nice induction ceremony.  The National Honor Society is one of the most prestigious clubs that students can be a part of at BHS and has very rigorous requirements that all students must meet to be inducted.

To be considered this year, students had to have above a 3.6 GPA and fill out an application that highlighted their areas of Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character.

BHS Students are named Carson Scholars

We would like to congratulate this year's Carson Scholars; Senior Megan Berry, Junior Alex Harrison, and Freshmen Mapuana Stephens.  Students receive this honor for their academic achievements and humanitarian efforts.  We are very proud of these three!
